PREFACE

Indian culture places a great importance to the birth of a male child. The couples producing male child are greeted with love and respect, whereas the couple producing a girl child is taken as lacking the natural capabilities. The culture and the old rituals have made it mandatory to have a male child in a family to take the burden of his parents in old age. The girls are supposed to be the burden on the family and they are taken care of by the parents only up to the stage of their marriage.

By advent of science age the girls are also able to find lot of job opportunities and now they can stand on their own and also feed their parents out of their earnings which are the outcome of their studies and the efforts of their own parents. Now is the time to give equal share to the girls in the family at par with the boys.

There are some families still who keep producing girls just for want of a son. They make all out efforts including various medicines and surgical techniques to produce a son. Many of the techniques are banned by the Govt. of India under the PNDT act.

There is a research being presented in this book which can help the couples understand the process of child production and various factors affecting the gender of the child. One thing should be clear to the people that the gender of the child is decided the moment the sperm fertilizes the ovum, i.e. within hours of sexual intercourse and by no means can it be changed. No medicine can change the sex of the child after the confirmation of pregnancy.

This book gives various natural techniques and methods to utilize the scientific knowledge in the favor of couples and they can decide to proceed in such a way that the probability of getting the desired child is maximum. The results, although not guaranteed, so far have been quite encouraging and the failure rate is less than 1%. Hope everybody would help maintain a perfect balance in the ratio of females to males so that everybody has one life partner to grow old with.
